Introduction

This event commemorates the Historic Lewis and Clark Trail.

Special Event Station Activation Dates and Times

Starts: June 4th at 0000 UTC
Ends: June 19th at 2400 UTC

Sign-up

To participate as an operating %station:

  • Go to the home page at https://lctota.org.
  • Go to the Activators link in the menu.
  • Create a log in associated with the Club you are associated with.

When creating your account, you will be asked about your grid square location, state and county. You will be asked to create a username and password. You will use this to login to your account to enter or change your activation times, bands and modes. You will also use this page for submitting your log.

License and Call Sign

For this event, you will be using the club call sign for the club you are associated with. The band privileges you will operate under will be based on your license. For example, If you have a General Class license, you can only operate in the parts of each band for the privileges of a General Class license. You have to have permission from the trustee of your club to use their call sign. Please remember to announce your own call sign on a periodic basis per FCC rules. Keep a copy of the club license (or this operators guide) at your station while you are operating.

Exchange

CW and Phone modes: The Exchange for a QSO will be: Call Sign, Name, RST, and State.
FT8/FT4 Exchange:

Logging

Logging can be by any software that can capture the exchange information. For AC Log (N3FJP) or HAMRS. For either of these 2 logging applications it is recommended to use the template or setup for a Parks on the Air (POTA) activation. Alternatively, N1MM can be configured with “User Defined Contest” [Need User Defined Contest template from Bernd]
